Content Strategy

The 32nd site to launch in our series of Department Web Framework sites at the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences. We combined content from a Contribute/Dreamweaver site and multiple WordPress blogs into a single new departmental site. I managed the project and led a large committee of stakeholders through the process. This included planning the navigation and information architecture, negotiating design customizations, migrating content, site configuration, and some development.

A comprehesive visual redesign of an existing Drupal site in the College of Arts & Sciences Department Web Framework. Over nine months we designed and developed a new custom theme that showcases the department's distinctive identity while maintaining continuity with the UW brand. The new design leverages the high-quality photos available to the unit and follows a messaging strategy focused on students and theater patrons.

The 31st site to launch in our series of Department Web Framework sites at the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences. We migrated their site from Sharepoint to our platform in less than three months. I managed the entire project, planned the navigation and information architecture with the clients, migrated all the content, configured the site, and performed all the frontend and backend development.

The 28th site to launch in our series of Department Web Framework sites at the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences. I provided guidance to the lead developer to keep the project running smoothly, work through key decisions with the clients, and maintain standards of quality. I also facilitated the visual design process, wrote front-end code to extend the theme, and guided the clients through selecting images and messages for the front page.

The 27th site to launch in our series of Department Web Framework sites at the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences. This one debuted a new theme based on Zurb Foundation. A visual designer created the look and feel, and I helped refine the usability and design components, then translated it into a Drupal theme. I worked closely with the lead developer to keep the project running smoothly, advise on content strategy, configure the site, and maintain standards of quality.

The 26th site to launch in our series of Department Web Framework sites at the University of Washington College of Arts and Sciences.  We partnered with faculty from the School to create a unique visual design, but the site relies on the same backend as other framework sites. I provided project management, information design, content migration, and site configuration, while another developer handled the theme and front-end development.
